The Power of God's Anger

Theme for the Week: CONSEQUENCES OF HUMANKIND'S REJECTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Reading: Psalm 90:7-14
_______________________

Psalms 90:11 (KJV)
[11]Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of God; the power of His wrath no man can withstand. However, man easily forget about his frailty and constantly provoke God to anger by their sinful deeds.

Unlike humans, God is not limited by time or sight. He has no beginning nor end, and before Him, everything lies bare. He knows our deepest thoughts, yea, even what is in the inward part of the belly.

How can mere mortals as we are, having our days numbered, stand the power of God's anger! He sees and loves us that He do not want to unleash His wrath on us.
Therefore, let us confess and repent of our sins, even the secret faults, lest we incur the anger of God and its power that easily consume man.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Almighty God, we thank You for Your loving kindness. LORD, teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Amen.

God Warns His People About His Wrath

Theme for the Week: CONSEQUENCES OF HUMANKIND'S REJECTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Reading: Psalm 81:8-14
_______________________

Psalm 81:11,12 (NIV)
¹¹“But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.
¹²So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.

Severally did God warn His people, Israel, about His wrath, but they would not listen; and even if they did, it was but for a short time and then they go back to their waywardness. At any wind that may blew, God's people easily forget about His mighty works in their lives and follow after their own desires.

So it is with our generation today. We selfishly follow own desires in blindness. Sometimes, God allows us to follow our stubbornness that we would learn our lesson, knowing the consequences of sin.

The issue we undermine is the supremacy of God's Word above His name. Surely, He will never go against His Word, and so shall bring all sin into judgement. Let us, thus, not take God's mercy as His weakness, but be obedient to Him in all situations.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Almighty God, we praise You. Father, keep us in line with Your Word, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Consequences Of Humankind's Rejection Of The Knowledge Of God

Theme for the Week: CONSEQUENCES OF HUMANKIND'S REJECTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Reading: Romans 1:24-32
__________________________

Romans 1:28 (NIV)
Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

Every human being, whether believer or not has the knowledge of God inscribed in their heart. This is a prove that God did create us in His image.

Unfortunately, many people have rejected this knowledge, and have chosen to rather make God in their image and other created things. The consequences are obvious as seen in today's passage.

Dearly beloved, no book of history has accurately predicted the end from the beginning as the Bible. This means that the penalty and judgement of sin shall be meted on sinners as the Bible says. Selah.

Let's Pray:
Almighty God, we praise You. Father, draw us closer to You and activate Your knowledge in them who have turned from You, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Appreciating God Through His Creation

Theme for the Week: HUMANKIND'S REJECTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Reading: Psalm 104:1-9
_________________________

Psalm 104: 1 (TLB)
I bless the Lord: O Lord my God, how great you are! You are robed with honor and with majesty and light! You stretched out the starry curtain of the heavens,

Throughout this week, we are studying how the knowing of God is inscribed in His creation, although mankind seem to reject this knowledge.

In today's passage, we see the psalmist appreciate God on the account of creation. God did not just create, but also, He holds everything together by His power.

We should not reject this knowledge at any time. We should not be forgetful so soon. Just look around you, you will see the great and marvelous things God made, including yourself. Appreciate God for His greatness is incomparable and He alone deserves all honour, majesty and glory.
Stay blessed. Shalom.

Let's Pray:
O Lord our God, how great You are. You are robed with honour, majesty and light, and we appreciate You through Jesus Christ. Amen.

God Sustains the Universe

Theme for the Week: HUMANKIND'S REJECTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Reading: Hebrews 1:1-3
--------------------------------------

Hebrews 1:3 (NIV)
3. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

At every point in time, God reveals Himself in different way. He wants to have fellowship with us always, and so He wants us to know Him better.

This is why He revealed Himself to us through Jesus Christ, and now the Holy Spirit. He alone has power to sustain the universe, because He made it. Politicians will say their part; so would the astrologers, the economists and like, but to no avail.

Dear friend, God wants us to know that He alone has the blueprint of the universe. We should not forget that no matter the difficulties our universe may seem to face, God is ever ready to sustain that for us. Let us hand over our universe to Him for He is the sustainer of all the universe.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we adore You. O Lord, sustain the universe in which You have placed us in Jesus' name. Amen.

God, The All-powerful Creator

Theme for the Week: HUMANKIND'S REJECTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Reading: Psalm 8:1-9
--------------------------------------

Psalm 8:3 (NIV)
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

The hand works of God  are so marvelous that we cannot seem to think of how powerful He is. Just as everything God created declares His glory, so does everything tells of His power.

Having all power, He considered mankind and gave man authority over everything other thing He made. Do you consider yourself worthless? Think of how God created you and put you in His stead on the earth.

God is All-powerful. No man or being can be powerful as He is. Who has been able to create even a little like Jehovah? Let him come out and display his creation. Indeed our God is all powerful; let us not forget this as His people.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens. Father, give us the heart of a child to always praise; for You are the all-powerful creator. Amen.

The Heavens Declare The Glory Of God

Theme for the Week: HUMANKIND'S REJECTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Reading: Psalm 19:1-6
----------------------------------

Psalm 19:1 (NIV)
For the director of music. A psalm of David.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

It is amazing how everything God created declare His glory. No wonder that it is believe that God left His essence in everything. However, that does not guarantee that you should worship anything as God.

To God alone must glory be ascribed; He alone deserves to be worshipped. As for the LORD God, He would never share His glory with any man, not to talk of a thing He never created in His image.

Brethren, we should not forget about God in anyway. If you have forgotten, just look at the firmaments; look at the skies and see how God's glory is revealed day and night.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
LORD God, indeed, the heavens are telling of Your glory; the skies proclaim the works of Your hand. May our hearts and mouths never cease to declare Your glory, O Lord, our Maker. Amen.

Full Knowledge of the Truth

Theme for the Week: HUMANKIND'S REJECTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD

Reading: Hebrews 10:26-27

Hebrews 10:26 (KJV)
[26]For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Knowledge, they say, is power. Knowledge about something makes you aware of what that entails, and so guides you in your dealings.

Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin (James 4:17). We have the knowledge of God and His wrath against sin. Why do we continue to fuel the wrath of God towards us by choosing continue in sin?

Dearly beloved, the truth must set us free, and not endanger us. Let us be conscious about the wrath of God against all godlessness and wickedness, knowing that although God loves the sinner, He hates sin and will bring sin into judgement.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Almighty God, we praise You. O Lord, forgive us our sins, and grant you the desire to flee from sin, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Do Not Be Ashamed of The Gospel

Theme for the Week: NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL

Reading: Mark 8:34-38

Mark 8:38 (KJV)
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

In today's passage, Jesus Christ gives us two alternatives to choose from. We can be bold to acknowledge now in this life and be acknowledged by Him in eternity; or ashamed to acknowledge Him and He shall also be ashamed to mention us in His Father's glory before the angels.

It is good that you accumulate wealth, but it is best to accumulate wealth in Jesus Christ. Since you will not be ashamed of letting others know your wealth, why are you ashamed to proclaim the gospel of Jesus?

Dear brethren, do not let the pleasure of enjoying what you accumulate here makes you lose focus on eternity. Just us we can talk of our wealth before others, let us also talk of the Gospel of Jesus.
Hallelujah!

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You. Lord, may we be bold to proclaim the gospel wherever You place us, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Proclaim The Salvation of The Lord

Theme for the Week: NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL

Reading: Psalms 96:2-4

Psalms 96:2 (NIV)
Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim His salvation day after day.

The salvation of the Lord stands fast and is sure. Nothing can stand in the way of the Lord's salvation, because the LORD God is forever faithful.

Knowing this, we should no more be silent. In the home, at the workplace, on the streets, let us proclaim that the Lord saves.

Let us proclaim that this salvation is for all. As many as may hear our voices, let them come near and taste of the Lord's salvation.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your salvation which You have provided for all. O Lord, draw all men to Your salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Publicly Acknowledging Jesus

Theme for the Week: NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL

Reading: Luke 12:8-9

Luke 12:8 (NIV)
I tell you, whoever publicly acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before the angels of God.

Many people fear to speak of their faith in Jesus, thus deny Him in the process. How? Whenever we engage in an acts hoping that no one will think of us as a Christians, we deny Him.

Also, when we decide to  blend into society, accepting cultures with no Christian values at the expense of our hope in Jesus, and not to stand up for what is right, we deny Him. By these acts, we become silent about our relationship with God, and these gradually make us lose focus on Jesus.

On the other hand, we acknowledge Jesus when we live morally and uprightly, honouring Christ with our lives. When we love others, stand for justice, help those in need, use what we have for God's glory rather than ours, and seek means by which we can share our faith with others, we acknowledge Christ.

Let us acknowledge Jesus, no matter the circumstances, and He will never deny us before God's angels. Hallelujah!

Let's Pray:
_Heavenly Father, we adore You. LORD God, increase our joy in You and help us acknowledge Your Son, Jesus Christ, at all times. Amen._

Please, leave your comment. Thank you.

Be Ready For a Witness

Theme for the Week: NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL

Reading: 1 Peter 3:15-16

1 Peter 3:15 (NIV)
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

The concept that "faith is in the heart" without living an exemplary lifestyle is very annoying. That has made many Christians not prepared to give an answer to their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Answering questions concerning your faith is not being proud or rude; it is a means you can tell about what Christ has done in your life. It is very appalling to see someone called a Christian not being able to tell who a Christian is when asked.

Dear friend, it is high time we awoke from the slumber and studied to show ourselves approved; rightly dividing the word of truth.

Are you prepared to tell someone why you believe in Jesus Christ in meekness?
If not, then check yourself and live a life that will justify the hope you profess; and that you will be ready to answer anyone concerning your hope in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Almighty God, be praised forever. Father, may You keep us in Your will and teach us by Your Spirit that we will be ready for a witness about our faith in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Preach The Gospel to All Creation

Theme for the Week: NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL

Reading: Mark 16:15-16

Mark 16:15 (KJV)
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

The penalty of sin has been paid:
Let the alarm be sounded.
A new foundation has been laid;
Through which great grace is founded.

The Good news is that Christ, who died for our sins, never remain in the grave. He rose from the dead in glory, and the world must hear about it.

All creation must hear about the gospel of Christ, but this can be achieved if you and I play our parts well. Wherever we are; wherever we go, we must sound the alarm and proclaim that Christ died for all.

Let us present God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ to the world that many, as God will, may be saved.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You. Might God, empower us to spread the gospel of Christ to the world, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Not Ashamed Of The Gospel

Theme for the Week: NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL

Reading: Romans 1:8-17

Romans 1:16 (KJV)
For I am not ashamed of the  gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Christians of today seem to be relaxed about the Gospel of Christ. It appears that most do not care about winning souls anymore. Holding Bible, even to the temple, has become a problem for many not to talk of going out for a door-to-door evangelism, since they feel ashamed.

Paul was passionate about the spread of the Gospel, and that is seen throughout the passages for today. His determination and passion made him confident to talk to any race that comes his way, because he felt obligated.

The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation so we must not be ashamed of it. We must see it as an obligation, and put up all zeal and confidence to spreading the Gospel wherever we find ourselves to transform as many lives as we can touch. Selah.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, be glorified. O LORD, may we never be ashamed of the Gospel, but that we may transform lives by it spread, in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Call of God

Theme for the Week: DISCIPLESHIP: SET APART FOR THE GOSPEL

Reading: Jeremiah 1:1-10

Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

God calls onto us to manifest His glory to the world, but most of us are unable to determine what God expects of us in each day.

God knew you, just as He knew Jeremiah, in the womb before you were conceived or born; and He has a purpose in mind for you.

As Christians, we are to determine our purpose in life and that would determine the call of God on us. Ask yourself; Why am I here?

It is expedient to note that not all people has been called into specific ministries, but all has the call of God to portray Christ to the world. We have the call of God to love, obey and serve Him, and glorify Him with all that we do.
Hallelujah!

Let's Pray:
Abba Father, we praise You. O LORD God, how us Your purpose for our lives, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Set Apart For The Gospel

Theme for the Week: DISCIPLESHIP: SET APART FOR THE GOSPEL

Reading: Acts 13:1-3

Acts 13:2 (KJV)
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

The work of God must need done on earth, and this can be fulfilled through people whom He  sets apart for such purpose.

The apostles made themselves ready by setting themselves to prayer and fasting. They first separated themselves to minister unto God.

Dear friend, God wants to separate people for His work, but you must be ready to be set apart from the congregation. As He sets you apart for the Gospel, do not concentrate on the riches and glory it brings; concentrate on the work you have been set apart for. Selah.

Let's Pray:
Abba Father, we praise You. O LORD God, set us apart for the Gospel in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen.

Call to Serve One Another

Theme for the Week: DISCIPLESHIP: SET APART FOR THE GOSPEL

Reading: Galatians 5:13-15

Galatians 5:13 (NIV)
You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.

Christianity is about service to mankind. To make the word of God complete in us, we are to love the LORD God, and also love one another.

The flesh desires that it feels comfortable in every way, so it doesn't whether that would be at the expense of another; all that it ever needs is its freedom and comfort.

Nonetheless, our comfort as Christians must be found in the service we deliver to one another in love. If we humbly serve one another in love, we portray the Gospel of God to the world.

Let's Pray:
Abba Father, we praise You. LORD God, humble our hearts to serve one another through Christ Jesus. Amen.

Call to Humility and Servanthood

Theme for the Week: DISCIPLESHIP: SET APART FOR THE GOSPEL

Reading: Mark 9:30-35

Mark 9:35 (KJV)
And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

One thing, I believe, the disciples never expected as the solution to their struggle over who should be the greatest was a call to service. How can someone who wants to lead begin by being a servant? Why not he start by commanding his servants to do this and that for him?

It is good to be ambitious and industrious, but that should be geared towards advancing the kingdom business. When we loose focus of this and seek to first promote self, we fail.

The Lord expects us to be great, but He wants to see us humble ourselves by serving others and seeking their successes first. When this happens, we become leaders of victors rather than failures, thus the greatest.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we adore You. LORD God, give us the heart of a servant, that we may thread the path of greatness, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Servanthood: The Path To Greatness

Theme for the Week: DISCIPLESHIP: SET APART FOR THE GOSPEL

Reading: Matthew 20:26-28

Matthew 20:27 (KJV)
And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:

Servants are of low condition or spirit. He is someone who serves another, thus, such a person is not seen as great as the one being served.

The world's definition of a servant sees no greatness in it. However, Jesus gave us a new definition, even as He made His life also an example of a chief servant who climbed the ladder of greatness.

Dear friend, Jesus has made us to understand that a real leader has a servant's heart. Whether you lead or serve others does not matter as having a servant's heart.

Jesus Christ, the great leader, was with a servant's heart, so let us have this mind in us as His servants, and we shall climb the ladder of greatness. Selah.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You. Father, give us the heart of a servant, that we may serve all those You entrust to us, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Discipleship: Set Apart For The Gospel

Theme for the Week: *THE TRANSFORMED PERSON APPRECIATES OTHERS*

Reading: Romans 1:1-7

Romans 1:1 (NIV)
Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God

Whose servant are you? Are you one that is of the devil or of Christ? Do you know that your master determines what you will be set apart for?

Apostle Paul was a servant of no other person than Jesus Christ, and he was set apart for the gospel of God. To be set apart is to be separated for a specific purpose.

Beloved, as people bought with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, we have been sanctified and set apart for the gospel of God. It is a charge we must keep, so let us rise up and make ourselves ready for the task entrusted in our hands.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You. O LORD God, set up apart for Your gospel, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
