Stop! Examine Yourself

Theme for the Week: *YOU CAN LIVE IN THE SPIRIT

Reading: 2 Corinthians 13:5-8
_______________________

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭13:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[5] Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?

Today's passage prompts us to pause, reflect, and evaluate our spiritual well-being. It is crucial to test ourselves, ensuring that we are walking in alignment with the truth of the Gospel.

This self-examination is not meant to bring judgment but to encourage growth and renewal. Let us intentionally seek God's guidance, repent of any wrongs, and strive to do what is right in His eyes.

So, dear friend, I encourage you to stop, examine yourself, and invite the Spirit of God to illuminate any areas in need of transformation. Embrace this opportunity for spiritual growth and allow God's love and grace to flow through you, touching the lives of those around you.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may Your Spirit illuminates every area of our lives that needs transformation, in Jesus' name. Amen.

I Will Be Their God

Theme for the Week: NO LONGER BOUND BY THE FLESH

Reading: Hebrews 8:10-13
_______________________

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭8:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[10] This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

In the Old Testament, God made a covenant with the Israelites, promising to be their God and guide them. But, due to their disobedience, the covenant became obsolete, and a new covenant was established through Jesus Christ, where God declares, "I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

This covenant assures us of a personal and intimate relationship with God, where He guides, protects, and provides for us. It is not based on our ability to perfectly follow the law, but on God's grace and mercy extended to us through faith.

In Christ, we have become partakers of this new covenant, adopted into God's family, and embraced as His children. We are no longer estranged or distant from Him; rather, we have been reconciled to Him through the blood of Jesus.

We can trust in His unwavering love, rely on His faithfulness, and find strength in His presence. In a world of uncertainties, God remains constant, and as we embrace His covenant, we reflect His love, grace, and goodness to those around us.
Stay blessed. Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord God, may we experience the fullness of life in You, knowing that You are our God, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Bearing Fruits Of The Spirit

Theme for the Week: NO LONGER BOUND BY THE FLESH

Reading: Galatians 5:19-25
_______________________

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[22] But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Before we came to faith in Christ, we were enslaved by the desires of the flesh. We were bound by our selfish ambitions, indulging in behaviors that led to destruction and brokenness. Through the redeeming work of Jesus Christ, we have been set free from the power of sin and the bondage of the flesh.

As believers, we are no longer defined by our old nature but are now guided by the Holy Spirit. When we allow the Spirit to work in our lives, His transformative power becomes evident. We experience a change of heart, a shift in our desires and priorities. The works of the flesh, such as hatred, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, selfish ambitions, and impurity, lose their grip on us as we yield to the Spirit's guidance.

This process of bearing fruits of the Spirit is a testimony to the transformation that has taken place within us. It is evidence that we are no longer bound by the flesh but have been set free to live according to God's divine nature.
Selah.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may others be drawn to the freedom found in Christ through the fruits of our lives, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Seek The Things Above

Theme for the Week: NO LONGER BOUND BY THE FLESH

Reading: Colossians 3:1-3
_______________________

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[1] Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

As believers, it is easy to become preoccupied with the cares and distractions of this world. We can easily get caught up in pursuing earthly desires and temporal pleasures. However, Paul exhorts us to shift our focus, to lift our gaze above the fleeting concerns of this life and fix our eyes on the eternal.

When we set our minds on heavenly things, we cultivate a mindset of eternal significance. We recognize that our true citizenship is with the Father, and our identity is found in Christ. The things of this world lose their hold on us as we become more attuned to the values and principles of the Kingdom of God.

Dear friend, let us heed the call to seek the things above. Let us be intentional in nurturing our relationship with God, spending time in prayer, studying His Word, and fellowshipping with other believers. Let us prioritize the things that have eternal value and invest our time, talents, and resources accordingly.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your name. Lord, may our thoughts, desires, and ambitions be centered on glorifying You and advancing Your Kingdom, in Jesus' name. Amen.

I Will Not Leave You As Orphans

Theme for the Week: NO LONGER BOUND BY THE FLESH

Reading: John 14:15-18
_______________________

‭‭John‬ ‭14:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[18] I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Life can often be filled with uncertainty and challenges, leaving us feeling abandoned and alone. However, as followers of Christ, we have the assurance that we are never orphaned. Jesus, our loving Savior, has promised to be with us always, even until the end of the age.

The Holy Spirit, who dwells within every believer, is the tangible presence of God in our lives. He fills the void and provides the love, guidance, and companionship that we need. He empowers us to live victoriously, even in the midst of trials and tribulations.

No matter what you may be going through today, remember that you are not alone. You are loved, cherished, and never forgotten. Our heavenly Father holds you in His arms, and His Spirit walks beside you every step of the way.
Hallelujah!

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, we know You will never leave us as orphans; walk with us by the Holy Spirit that we may walk always in the spirit, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Freedom, Not After The Occasion Of The Flesh

Theme for the Week: NO LONGER BOUND BY THE FLESH

Reading: Galatians 5:13-16
_______________________

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[16] So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

In a world that often promotes self-gratification and instant pleasures, we are called to a higher standard. Our freedom in Christ is not about satisfying our own selfish desires, but about glorifying God and loving others sacrificially.

True freedom is found in aligning our lives with God's purposes and living according to His principles. It is about surrendering our own desires and preferences to follow Christ wholeheartedly.

We are to use our freedom as an opportunity to bring light, hope, and love into the lives of those around us. As we do so, we will find a deep and lasting fulfillment that the fleeting pleasures of the flesh can never provide.
Selah.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You. Lord, may our words and deeds glorify You alone, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Life By The Spirit

Theme for the Week: NO LONGER BOUND BY THE FLESH

Reading: Galatians 5:16-25
_______________________

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[25] Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit

Are you living by the Spirit? Are the fruits of the Spirit evident in your words and actions? Are you relying on the Holy Spirit's guidance in all aspects of your life?

Living by the Spirit means surrendering our own desires and selfish ambitions. It means seeking God's will above our own and being attentive to His voice.

It requires us to crucify the desires of the flesh, choosing a higher calling and purpose.

Let us commit ourselves anew to live by the Spirit, surrendering to His leading and allowing Him to transform us from the inside out. May our lives be a testimony to the power of God at work within us, reflecting His love, joy, peace, and all the other fruits of the Spirit.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, empower us to live by the Spirit, in Jesus' name. Amen.

No More Confidence In The Flesh

Theme for the Week: NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE IN CHRIST

Reading: Philippians 3:4-9
_______________________

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:7 ‭NIV‬‬
[7] But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

As Christians, our confidence should no longer be placed in our own accomplishments or merits, but in the righteousness of Christ. We are called to let go of self-righteousness and embrace the truth that our salvation comes through faith in Jesus, not by our own efforts.

In Christ, we find freedom from condemnation and the burden of striving for righteousness. Our works should flow from a heart transformed by His grace, as we live in gratitude and extend love and acceptance to others.

Beloved, let us fix our gaze on Christ and live in the fullness of His grace, knowing that in Him, there is no condemnation but abundant life.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may our lives be a testimony to the transformative power of Christ's love and grace, in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Spirit Helps In Our Weakness

Theme for the Week: NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE IN CHRIST

Reading: Romans 8:22-26
_______________________

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:26‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[26] In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

In the midst of our weaknesses and struggles, there is a great assurance and comfort, for the Spirit of God comes to our aid.

When we face overwhelming challenges or don't know how to pray, the Spirit intercedes on our behalf, aligning our hearts with God's will. Our weaknesses become opportunities for the Spirit to display His power and strength, transforming us and reminding us of our reliance on God's grace.

Therefore, let us embrace the Spirit's help, seeking His guidance, strength, and comfort, knowing that through Him, we can overcome any obstacle.
Stay blessed.

Freedom In Christ Jesus

Theme for the Week: NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE IN CHRIST

Reading: Galatians 5:1-6
_______________________

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[1] It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.

Do you know that through faith in Christ, we are liberated from the chains of sin and the oppressive weight of trying to earn our salvation? Christ has set us free from any bondage of sin!

This freedom does not give us permission to indulge in sin, but rather calls us to walk in the Spirit and bear the fruit of love. External rituals and religious practices hold no significance compared to a heart transformed by love and a genuine relationship with Christ. In this freedom, we find unity and can build a community that reflects God's kingdom.

Embrace the freedom in Christ, my dear beloved. Live in the fullness of His love, guided by the Holy Spirit. Let your lives be a testimony to the transforming power of grace. And may our love for one another draw others into the freedom and joy found in Jesus.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You. Lord, help us to reflect Christ to the world in this freedom that we have in Him. Amen.

John 14:16 KJV
[16]And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever;

Celebrating The Triune God

Theme for the Week: CELEBRATING THE TRIUNE GOD

Reading: 2 Corinthians 13:11-14

_______________________

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭13:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

[14] May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

The concept of trinity is one of the topics that has been debated over the years, even among Christians. Although the word does not come up in any of the scripts of the Bible, its essence is seen throughout the Bible.

The Triune God is a source of joy that transcends circumstances, offering restoration and renewal through the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. Paul calls believers to aim for restoration, participating in God's work of reconciling brokenness and fostering healing in relationships and communities.

Additionally, he emphasizes the importance of living in peace, reflecting the reconciling nature of the Father, the sacrificial love of the Son, and the harmonizing power of the Holy Spirit.

By embracing the unity and love of the Triune God, believers are called to be ambassadors of peace in a world marked by division, showcasing the transformative power of God's presence in their lives.

Let's Pray:

Gracious Father, we praise You. Lord God, may we be one as You are one, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Not By Might, But By God's Spirit

Theme for the Week: POWER FROM ON HIGH

Reading: *Zechariah 4:6-7*
_______________________

‭‭Zechariah‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[6] So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

Today's passage teaches us that our own human might and power are insufficient, but it is through the Spirit's power that we find victory and overcome obstacles. We are called to trust in the Spirit's guidance, provision, and strength, recognizing that our achievements are a result of His empowering work.

As believers, we are encouraged to shift our reliance from our own abilities to the power of God's Spirit. We can have confidence that even the mightiest mountains of challenges, obstacles, or limitations can be leveled by the Spirit's power.

Let us embrace the truth that it is through the Spirit's power that we find true strength and accomplish great things, giving glory to God in all that we do.
Stay blessed. Shalom!

Let's Pray:
Almighty God, we praise You. Father, we surrender to Your Spirit, seeking His guidance, and trusting in His provision. May we experience His transformative work in our lives and witness His miraculous accomplishments through us, in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Holy Spirit Gives Power To Preach

Theme for the Week: POWER FROM ON HIGH

Reading: 1 Corinthians 2:1-4
_______________________

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[4] My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power,

Our human abilities and eloquence are insufficient to bring about true transformation. However, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we are equipped to boldly proclaim the gospel with effectiveness.

The Spirit gives us the boldness to speak fearlessly, brings clarity and understanding to communicate the profound truths of the gospel, and convicts and transforms hearts.

As believers, we are called to be ambassadors of Christ, sharing His message of salvation with the world. The Holy Spirit empowers our preaching and witnessing, transcending our limitations and weaknesses.

We are to rely on His strength, surrender to His leading, and trust in His power. By doing so, we will see lives changed, hearts transformed, and the kingdom of God advanced.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Lord God, we thank You. Father, we seek for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, that through His power we shall effectively proclaim the life-changing message of salvation, through Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Spirit Gives Life

Theme for the Week: POWER FROM ON HIGH

Reading: Romans 8:10-11
_______________________

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[11] And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

In today's passage, we are reminded that the indwelling presence of Christ in us, through the Holy Spirit, brings life that surpasses the limitations of our mortal bodies. The Spirit overcomes the power of sin, enabling us to live in righteousness.

Moreover, the Spirit brings life not only to our spirits but also to our mortal bodies, with the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. This assurance of future resurrection fills us with hope and gratitude.

By embracing the life-giving work of the Holy Spirit, we can experience victory over sin and the fullness of life in Christ. The Spirit's presence within us serves as a guarantee of our future resurrection, assuring us of eternal life with God.
Hallelujah!

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may the Holy Spirit transforms us, renews our minds, and empowers us to live in righteousness, as we yield to the Spirit's leading, in Jesus' name. Amen.
