A New Creation In Christ

Theme for the Week: RAISED AND SEATED IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS TO SHOW GOD'S KINDNESS IN CHRIST

Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:16-18
_______________________

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[16] So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

As people who are raised and seated in the heavenly realms with Christ, our perspective on others should be radically transformed. No longer do we judge according to outward appearances or worldly standards.

Instead, we see each person as a precious soul for whom Christ died, someone with infinite worth and potential in God's eyes - a new creation in Him.

This means we look beyond the surface, beyond their flaws, mistakes, or status. We see them as God sees them; beloved, redeemed, and capable of experiencing the transforming power of His grace.
Selah.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You. Lord, help us walk in this new life in Christ, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Raised With Christ

Theme for the Week: RAISED AND SEATED IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS TO SHOW GOD'S KINDNESS IN CHRIST

Reading: Colossians 3:1-3
_______________________

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[1] Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

We are not just earthbound creatures striving to reach heavenly heights; as believers, we are already raised and seated with Christ in the heavenly realms. Our lives are hidden with Christ in God, and our true citizenship belongs to the kingdom of God.

Therefore, instead of being consumed by the worries and concerns of this world, we are called to fix our eyes on Jesus and His kingdom. We are called to live from above, allowing the truth of our heavenly position to shape our thoughts, desires, and actions.

Just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so too are we raised to walk in newness of life. Our old selves, with their sinful desires, have been crucified with Christ, and we are now free to live in the power of His resurrection.
Hallelujah!

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may we walk as people raised with Christ, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Buried With Christ Through Baptism

Theme for the Week: RAISED AND SEATED IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS TO SHOW GOD'S KINDNESS IN CHRIST

Reading: Romans 6:4-5
_______________________

‭‭Romans‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[5] For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.

Baptism isn't merely a ritual or tradition; it's a powerful declaration of our faith and identification with Christ. As we are submerged beneath the waters, we symbolically die to our old selves — the sinful nature and the bondage of sin.

This act of baptism signifies our spiritual resurrection. It is the moment when we are raised and seated in the heavenly realms with Christ. It is a tangible expression of God's kindness towards us in Christ Jesus, demonstrating His grace and mercy in washing away our sins and granting us new life.

We are no longer slaves to sin but participants in His death and resurrection. Our lives are now hidden with Christ in God, and our every action should reflect this new reality.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, as we have been buried with Christ, may our lives be hidden in You, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Spiritual Resurrection Of God's People

Theme for the Week: RAISED AND SEATED IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS TO SHOW GOD'S KINDNESS IN CHRIST

Reading: Ezekiel 37:1-14
_______________________

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭37:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[10] So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

God demonstrates His ability to bring life to the lifeless, hope to the hopeless, and resurrection to the spiritually dead.
Just as God breathed life into the dry bones, He desires to breathe new life into His people today.

As believers, we have experienced this spiritual resurrection firsthand. We were once dead in our sins, but through Christ, we have been made alive, and seated in heavenly realms with Christ Jesus.

Dear friend, let us walk in the newness of life, sharing the hope we have found in Christ with a world that is still lost in darkness.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may our lives reflect the reality of our resurrection, in Jesus' name. Amen

Raised And Seated In The Heavenly Realms To Show God's Kindness In Christ

Theme for the Week: RAISED AND SEATED IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS TO SHOW GOD'S KINDNESS IN CHRIST

Reading: Ephesians 2:6-7
_______________________

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[6] And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus

We are not just earthly beings striving to reach heavenly heights as Christians; we are already there, seated with Christ Himself. This reality isn't about our efforts; it's about God's kindness lavished upon us through Christ.

God didn't just save us; He elevated us to a position of honor and authority in Christ. And why? To showcase His incomparable kindness for all eternity. Our position in the heavenly realms is a testament to God's boundless love and grace.

So, my dear brethren, let this truth sink deep into your heart today: You are not merely a sinner saved by grace; you are a cherished child of God, raised and seated in heavenly realms to display His kindness and glory.
Hallelujah!

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may we have the mindset of Christ who sits at Your right hand side always, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Live By The Spirit

Theme for the Week: REDEEMED FROM MORAL DEPRAVITY THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD

Reading: Galatians 5:16-25
_______________________

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[25] Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

As believers, there is this internal struggle we face between our sinful inclinations and the transformative work of the Holy Spirit within us.

Living by the Spirit means allowing God's presence to permeate every aspect of our being. It means yielding our will to His guidance, surrendering our desires to His leading, and allowing Him to produce His fruit in our lives.

As we reflect on the mercy of God that has redeemed us from moral depravity, let us not take lightly the privilege and responsibility of living by the Spirit. Let us actively cultivate a life of intimacy with God, through prayer, meditation on His Word, and fellowship with other believers.
Stay blessed. Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, empower us to live by the Spirit, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Crucified With Christ

Theme for the Week: REDEEMED FROM MORAL DEPRAVITY THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD

Reading: Galatians 2:20-21
_______________________

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[20] I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The implications of our identification with Christ's death and resurrection call us to live lives that are no longer driven by our own selfish desires and ambitions, but by faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.

To be crucified with Christ means that we have died to sin and its power over us. It means that we are no longer slaves to our sinful nature, but free to live in obedience to God's will. It means that the mercy of God has triumphed over our moral depravity, and we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb.

But this truth also comes with a challenge. If we have been crucified with Christ, then we must also live as if we have died to ourselves. We must daily take up our cross and follow Him, denying ourselves and surrendering our lives completely to His lordship.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may the life we live reflect Christ who lives in us, in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Armor Of God

Theme for the Week: REDEEMED FROM MORAL DEPRAVITY THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD

Reading: Ephesians 6:10-19
_______________________

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[11] Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes

The full armor of God includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

With this armor, we are prepared to stand firm against the schemes of the devil and to engage in the spiritual warfare that surrounds us.

But notice that the armor of God is not something we create for ourselves; it is something given to us by God. It is a gift of His mercy and grace, designed to protect and empower us as we navigate the challenges of life.
Hallelujah!

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord God, may You equip us with Your armor, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Seek To Overcome Evil With Good

Theme for the Week: REDEEMED FROM MORAL DEPRAVITY THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD

Reading: Ephesians 4:25-32
_______________________

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:32‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[32] Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

In a world filled with darkness and evil, it can be easy to succumb to the temptation to respond in kind—to repay evil with evil. But as children of light, we are called to a higher standard.

We are called to overcome evil with good, to respond to hatred with love, and to extend grace and forgiveness even to those who have wronged us.

This is not always easy. It requires humility, patience, and a willingness to let go of our own pride and desire for vengeance. But it is the way of Christ, who, in the ultimate act of love and sacrifice, gave his life to redeem us from the power of sin and death.
Selah.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may we receive the grace to overcome evil with good, in Jesus' name. Amen.

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Today's passage emphasizes the importance of putting to death the sinful nature within us, including things such as sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed. These are the very things that once enslaved us and separated us from God's presence.

However, through the mercy of God and the saving work of Christ, we have been set free from the power of sin and death. And we are called to put on the new self marked by love, unity, and forgiveness—a life that reflects the very nature of Christ himself.

Beloved friend, let Let us strive each day to rid ourselves of evil deeds and to walk in obedience to God's Word, knowing that in doing so, we bear witness to the transforming power of God's mercy in our lives.

Redeemed From Moral Depravity Through The Mercy Of God

Theme for the Week: REDEEMED FROM MORAL DEPRAVITY THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD

Reading: Ephesians 2:1-5
_______________________

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:4‭-‬5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[4] But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, [5] made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

This passage is a powerful testament to the transformative power of God's mercy and grace. Once, we were dead in our sins, although alive, following the ways of the world and the ruler of the kingdom of the air.

Despite our unworthiness, God's love for us knows no bounds. He reached down into the depths of our depravity and lifted us up, offering us redemption and new life through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Beloved, let us never forget the depths from which we have been rescued. Let us humble ourselves before God, acknowledging our need for His mercy and grace each and every day.

Theme for the Week: GOD'S IMMEASURABLE POWER FOR CHRISTIAN GROWTH

Reading: Colossians 1:9-14
_______________________

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[11] being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

Endurance and patience are essential virtues in the Christian walk, especially in the face of trials and challenges. Yet, trying to muster up these qualities on our own can be exhausting and often fruitless.

That's why Paul points us to the true source of endurance and patience: God's immeasurable power.
When we tap into God's power through prayer, Scripture, and reliance on the Holy Spirit, we find the strength we need to endure and remain patient in every circumstance.

Dear friend, it is not about gritting our teeth and pushing through; it is about surrendering to God's power at work within us. Let us draw on the immeasurable power of God, trusting that He will sustain us and empower us to persevere until the end.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, we be strengthened with all power according to Your glorious might, in Jesus' name. Amen.

God Gives Strength And Power

Theme for the Week: GOD'S IMMEASURABLE POWER FOR CHRISTIAN GROWTH

Reading: Isaiah 40:28-31
_______________________

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭40:29‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[29] He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

God is the Creator of the ends of the earth, and His understanding is beyond measure. Yet, He doesn't just hold power; He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

As Christians, we often face moments of exhaustion and weakness—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. In those times, it is tempting to rely on our own strength or to give in to despair. But God invites us to turn to Him.

He promises to renew our strength and enable us to soar on wings like eagles, to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint.

Brethren, let us not underestimate the power available to us in God. When we feel weak, let us lean on Him and allow His strength to carry us through.
Shalom.

Your Supplication Shall Be Heard

Theme for the Week: CHRISTIAN GROWTH REQUIRES PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND SUPPLICATION

Reading: Acts 10:1-8
_______________________

‭‭Acts‬ ‭10:4‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[4] Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God.

As believers, it is crucial to understand that our supplications shall be heard by our Heavenly Father. God hears the prayers of all who seek Him earnestly, regardless of their background or circumstances. Just as Cornelius experienced, God is attentive to the cries of His children, ready to respond with grace and mercy.

In times of need or uncertainty, let us take comfort in the assurance that our prayers do not fall on deaf ears. God is ever-present, eagerly waiting for us to come to Him in supplication, trusting in His wisdom and sovereignty.

Therefore, dear friend, let us approach the throne of grace with confidence and a heart of gratitude, knowing that our supplication shall be heard.

Reading: Matthew 18:18-20
_______________________

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[18]  “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Today's devotion brings to light the authority and efficacy granted to us through prayer. When we engage in supplication, we are not merely voicing our desires, but we are partnering with God in His divine work on earth.

Through supplication, we express our deepest needs, desires, and concerns to God, laying them before Him with humility and trust. Also, we invite God to intervene in our lives, to grant wisdom, guidance, and strength for the challenges we face.

As we come together in prayer, whether individually or in community, we tap into the boundless resources of heaven. This, let us not hesitate to bring our needs before God, knowing that He delights in hearing and responding to the cries of His children.
Shalom.

Present Your Requests To God

Theme for the Week: CHRISTIAN GROWTH REQUIRES PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND SUPPLICATION

Reading: Philippians 4:6-7
_______________________

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[6] Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

It is natural for us to have concerns, needs, and desires as we navigate the complexities of life. However, rather than allowing anxiety to consume us, Paul urges us to bring everything to God in prayer, expressing our dependence on Him and our trust in His provision.

Moreover, Paul instructs us to do so with thanksgiving. Even in the midst of our petitions, we are called to cultivate a heart of gratitude, acknowledging God's goodness, faithfulness, and past blessings.

Therefore, let us heed Paul's exhortation and approach God with a spirit of thanksgiving and supplication to open ourselves to the transformative work of the Holy Spirit, experiencing growth in faith, trust, and intimacy with our Heavenly Father.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, thank You for granting our heart desires, in Jesus' name. Amen.

In Thanksgiving Trust God For The Future

Theme for the Week: CHRISTIAN GROWTH REQUIRES PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND SUPPLICATION

Reading: Exodus 15:12-18
_______________________

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:17‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[17] You will bring them in and plant them on the mountain of your inheritance— the place, Lord, you made for your dwelling, the sanctuary, Lord, your hands established.

In times of triumph and in moments of uncertainty, it is imperative that we not only offer thanksgiving for past blessings but also entrust our future into God's capable hands.

Just as the Israelites looked forward with faith, so too are we called to trust in God's providence and guidance. True Christian growth blossoms when we combine gratitude for the past with unwavering trust in God for the future.

As we lift our prayers of thanksgiving, let us also surrender our concerns about the unknown future, confident that God's plans for us are good and filled with hope.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, we trust that You will do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Learn To Thank God For His Mighty Deeds

Theme for the Week: CHRISTIAN GROWTH REQUIRES PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING AND SUPPLICATION

Reading: Exodus 15:1-6
_______________________

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[2] “The Lord is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Take a moment to reflect on the Red Sea moments in your own journey – those instances where God's hand has been undeniably at work. The Israelites burst forth in a song of praise after witnessing God's miraculous deliverance through the parting of the Red Sea.

Cultivating a habit of thanking God for His mighty deeds not only deepens our connection with Him but also fosters a spirit of humility and trust.

As we learn to thank God for His mighty deeds, may our hearts resonate with the chorus of praise that echoes through the ages, bringing us closer to the transformative grace of our Lord.

Theme for the Week: THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE GUARANTEE FOR CHRISTIAN INHERITANCE

Reading: Galatians 4:1-5
_______________________

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:4‭-‬5‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[4] But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, [5] to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.

The Christian journey is one of transformation, a maturing process guided by the Holy Spirit. As we walk in the Spirit, we move from a state of immaturity to the fullness of our inheritance in Christ.

Just as a child matures into an heir with responsibilities and privileges, our spiritual maturity is essential for fully apprehending the glorious end that awaits us. As we yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we gain a greater understanding of our identity as heirs of the promises made by God, equipped with the wisdom and discernment to navigate the challenges of life.

May we be intentional about our spiritual growth, seeking the counsel of the Holy Spirit through prayer, studying the Word, and living out our faith in love and obedience.
Stay blessed. Shalom.

[42] They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

The early Christians not only responded to the message of salvation but also committed themselves to prayer. Prayer is more than a religious routine; it is a lifeline to the believer.

The early believers understood the power of persistent prayer, recognizing its significance in their spiritual journey. In our communication with God, we find strength, wisdom, and a deepening intimacy with our Heavenly Father.

In moments of joy and sorrow, let prayer be our instinct, knowing that the Holy Spirit, our divine guarantee, intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
Stay blessed.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, empower us to commune with You through prayer, in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Spirit-filled Life Is A Life That Partakes In The Breaking Of Bread

Theme for the Week: THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE GUARANTEE FOR CHRISTIAN INHERITANCE

Reading: Acts 2:41-42

A Spirit-filled life is one that actively engages in the breaking of bread, not merely as a ritual but as a heartfelt communion. This act transcends a mere sharing of a meal; it signifies a sharing of life, joys, sorrows, and a common bond in Christ.

As heirs of the Christian inheritance, the breaking of bread becomes a sacred moment where we remember Christ's sacrifice, celebrate our unity in Him, and anticipate the glorious inheritance that awaits us.

Let us approach the breaking of bread with reverence and gratitude, recognizing the depth of the spiritual connection it represents. It is a time to reflect on the love that brought us together, the grace that sustains us, and the hope that anchors us in Christ.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may we have a deep sense of the Spirit's presence in our midst as we partake in the breaking of bread, in Jesus' name. Amen.
