Be Careful So That What You Eat Does Not Offend Anyone

Theme for the Week: THE TRANSFORMED PERSON ACCOMMODATES THE WEAK

Reading: 1 Corinthians 8:8-13

1 Corinthians 8:9 (NIV)

Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak.

Weakness is an inadequate quality of a person. It is a fault that prevents someone from what is right for them.

I believe that the main cause of weakness in faith is the lack of knowledge. Like the child, everybody must learn to grow in faith. As a person grows, they begin to do what they were unable to do before, just like the child. Thus, those who refuse to grow in their faith in Christianity are tantamount to children.

It is therefore the duty of the matured to nurture these babes in Christ in a way they can comprehend, so that they go not wayward. Since you cannot give the food of the matured to a babe,  so must you not cause the weak in Christ to sin because of what you do.

Stay blessed.

Let's Pray

Everlasting Father, I adore You. Lord, may my actions and ability never cause a believer to sin, in Jesus' name. Amen.

The Transformed Person Accommodates The Weak

Theme for the Week: THE TRANSFORMED PERSON ACCOMMODATES THE WEAK

Reading: Romans 14:1-4

Romans 14:1 (NIV)
Accept the one whose faith is weak, without quarreling over disputable matters.

Weakness is much more of the mind than of the body. What you accept into the mind determines how weak or strong you may be.

It is interesting to know that what makes one person weak makes another strong. This is to say that your strength is someone's weakness.
While a weak person may limit himself to satisfy his or her conscience on what they have believed, the strong also satisfy theirs by the extra they do.

Dear believer, whether what others do or do not makes them weak in your sight, let us learn to accept the weak only if what they do is not ungodly according to Word of God. Selah.

Let's Pray
Almighty God, be praised forever. Lord, help to accept the weak in faith knowing that You are the judge of all. Amen.

Seek Each Other's Interest

Theme for the Week: SOLIDARITY IN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Topic: Seek Each Other's Interest

Reading: Philippians 2:2-5

Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV)

³Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

⁴not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Christian fellowship is incomplete without seeking the interest of each others. When we look out for other's interest, we are seen as a unified body.

Seeking each other's interest is a way of proving that we have greater love (see John 15:13). Unlike the heathens love which is selfish, always seeking to gain something more, the Christian love expects nothing more than the fellowship.

One way to fulfill Jesus' prayer in John 17:20-21 that we be one is to seek each other's interest. Let us embrace this call and make the joy of Christ complete.

Stay blessed! Shalom.

Let's Pray

Almighty God, be praised forever. Lord, may the interest of other brethren be my interest, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Mutual Fellowship

Theme for the Week: SOLIDARITY IN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Topic: Mutual Fellowship

Reading: 1 Thessalonians 5:14-15

1 Thessalonians 5:14 (NIV)

And we urge you, brothers and sisters, warn those who are idle and disruptive, encourage the disheartened, help the weak, be patient with everyone

Fellowship refers to a company of people that share the same interest. It is a feeling of friendship, relatedness or connection between people.

Fellowship must be mutual. It must be collective and reciprocal. You cannot live in isolation and expect to have fellowship with others.

Dear friend, as we fellowship with one another, let us look for the weakness in each other, and supplement them while we can; for we are one body with one Lord.

Stay blessed!

Let's Pray

Heavenly Father, be glorified. Lord, strengthen our hearts for a mutual fellowship with each other in Christ. Amen.

Fellowship In The Early Church

Thursday, 27/10/2022

Theme for the Week: SOLIDARITY IN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Topic: Fellowship In The Early Church

Reading: Acts 2:41-47

Acts 2:42 (NIV)

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.

The Early Church enjoyed a sweet fellowship with one another in such a manner that must be emulated today. Today, divisions are seen everywhere in the Church (the body of Christ).

Christians of today are becoming more self-centered and selfish. Instead promoting unity in the Church, we turn to promote doctrine and class.

This is a call on us to remember our first love. Let us go back to imitating the early church that all believers may come together and have everything in common.

Shalom!

Let's Pray

Most blessed, most glorious, You are the ancient of day. Father, unite Your Church in love, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Need For Christian Fellowship

Wednesday - 26/10/2022

Theme for the Week: SOLIDARITY OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Topic: Need for Christian Fellowship

Reading: Hebrews 10:24-25

Hebrews 10:25 (ESV)

not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Christian fellowship is very vital for our spiritual and physical growth. By that, we may see the need of one another and help in ways we can.

When a person comes to Christ, they need to know how to live in the world and not of the world. It is easier giving up on God when there is no one to encourage you on your godly living in a world full of ungodliness.

Some have been rooted in Christ Jesus and by fellowshipping with them, we get all we need to stay encouraged against all odds. Therefore, let us not neglect Christian fellowship that we may grow in the Lord.

Shalom!

Let's Pray:

Almighty God, to You be all power. Father, I know that Your Son came not for individual sinners, but for all sinners. I pray that You unite all His followers under Him. Amen.

A Picture of Harmonious Living

Theme for the Week: SOLIDARITY OF CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Topic: A Picture of Harmonious Living

Reading: Psalms 133

Psalms 133:1 (KJV)

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

The blessedness of harmonious living cannot be underrated. It is really good and pleasant to behold such an atmosphere of unity.

With one mind, one heart, and one interest do people live in unity. And the beauty of it is that there is no selfishness or envying, thus there is a collective interest at heart for progress and development.

Like the precious oil on the head of Aaron is holy, so also is a harmonious living. As God's one people, let us embrace this goodness and pleasantness in dwelling in unity.

Shalom!

Let's Pray:

Almighty God, to You be all glory and honor. O Lord, may we behold the goodness and pleasantness in dwelling in unity, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Benefit of Fellowship

Theme for the Week: SOLIDARITY IN CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP

Topic: Benefit of Fellowship

Reading: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV)

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

There is much benefit in fellowship. As today's passage rightly puts it; two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor (Eccl. 4:9).

Perhaps you may be someone who has much strength, and thus do not care whether another pushes you or not.

However, should you have another to help you with just a little hand, you would realize the strength you can save for other things of great benefits.

In unity lies strength. If the whole body of Christ can stand in fellowship with one another, we can change societies and even nations against all odds. Selah.

Let's Pray:

Gracious God, I praise You. Father, may my fellowship with other believers strengthens the body of Christ. Amen.
