Theme for the Week: THE TRANSFORMED PERSON ACCOMMODATES THE WEAK
Reading: Romans 14:13-18
Romans 14:14
I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean.
Sometimes, I wonder why many Christians continue to enslave themselves with these little things of the body. Did Christ Jesus came to enslave? Certainly not! Christ came to save.
Jesus Christ new what He meant when He said that not what goes into the mouth defiles a man (see Mt 15:11). Also, the Spirit of God told Peter not to call anything impure that God has made clean (see Acts 10:15)
Beloved, let us live in the righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Let us not enslave ourselves by regarding something as unclean that God has made clean; for Jesus did not come to enslave, but to save.
Shalom.
Let's Pray
Lord God Almighty, may Your name be praised. O Lord, may I never call anything impure that You have made clean, in Jesus' name. Amen.
