Theme for the Week: THE TRANSFORMED PERSON ACCOMMODATES THE WEAK
Reading: Romans 14:19-23
Romans 14:22
So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God. Blessed is the one who does not condemn himself by what he approves.
Throughout this week, we have been studying on accommodating the weak. It is obvious that many people are weak in the Christian faith, and so the little thing done before their eyes can make them to stumble and to fall.
Everything was about self in the old covenant, but in the new, it is about others. Yes, all food is clean; and yes, you have the right to eat whatever you like, yet you sin if you cause the weak in the faith to fall because of what you eat.
Some things are silent in Scripture and so you need to follow your conscience about your personal encounter with God in such. One thing you must take note is that whatever you think is sin is sin, so do not do it, but do not despise others when they do such. Keep it between you and God.
Stay blessed! Shalom.
Let's Pray
Most gracious and merciful Father, I honour You. Lord, if there is something I do that cause others to fall, make it known to me that I may cease from it, in Jesus' name. Amen.
