Godliness, A Christian Duty

Theme for the Week: A CALL TO GODLINESS

Reading: Titus 2:11-15
_______________________

‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[12] It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age,

The grace of God, a transformative force, calls us to a life marked by godliness. It is not a passive suggestion but a directive that requires intentional living.

As recipients of this grace, we are called to renounce ungodliness and embrace a lifestyle that reflects the transformative power of God's salvation.

Our actions, attitudes, and interactions should mirror the grace that has been lavished upon us. In doing so, we not only fulfill our Christian duty but become beacons of light in a world longing for the transformative touch of God's love.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may we radiate the beauty of Christ in this world, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Pursue Godliness

Theme for the Week: A CALL TO GODLINESS

Reading: 1 Timothy 6:11-16
_______________________

‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[11] But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

Amidst the clamor of worldly pursuits, the Apostle Paul directs our gaze toward the essence of a life anchored in God.

The charge is clear: flee from the fleeting allure of materialism and instead, with fervency, pursue the enduring treasures of righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness.

As we embark on this pursuit, let us heed the call to a godly life, recognizing that it is not merely a list of virtues but a transformative journey. Godliness is a state of being, a reflection of our intimate connection with our heavenly Father.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may we find ultimate fulfilment in You, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Jesus Died For Us Because He Loved Us

Theme for the Week: A CALL TO GODLINESS

Reading: 1 John 4:7-12
_______________________

‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[10] This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Jesus, the embodiment of God's love, willingly laid down His life for us. His sacrificial death on the cross speaks volumes about the depth of His love.

His sacrifice is the epitome of divine love, a love so selfless and all-encompassing that it transcends our understanding.

Today, let us recommit ourselves to the call of godliness, recognizing that the essence of godliness is rooted in love—love that emanates from the very heart of God. Let the love we have received from Christ overflow into our relationships and interactions.
Selah.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, may our hearts be filled with love, in Jesus' name. Amen.

God's Love Forgives Us

Theme for the Week: A CALL TO GODLINESS

Reading: Isaiah 43:14-21
_______________________

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:18‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[18] “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.

God's love is boundless; it reaches into the darkest corners of our lives, offering forgiveness and redemption. Despite our shortcomings, His mercy triumphs over judgment, and His love surpasses our understanding.

Here, we find the assurance that God is doing a new thing. Let us, therefore, release the burdens of our past mistakes and embrace the newness that God offers through His forgiveness.

May this exhortation stir our hearts to walk in the light of God's forgiveness, radiating His love to a world in need. Amen.

Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, we thank You. Lord, remember not our sins according to Your word, in Jesus' name. Amen.
