Matthew 22:21 NIV
[21] “Caesar’s,” they replied. Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”
Jesus teaches that we must fulfill both our civil and spiritual responsibilities.
Just as the coin bears Caesar’s image, we, as human beings, bear the image of God. Therefore, we are called to give ourselves fully to God—our hearts, minds, souls, and actions.
As Christians, we must balance our obligations to society with our ultimate allegiance to God. By doing so, we honor both earthly authority and God's divine rule.
