[13] “Don’t collect any more than you are required to,” he told them.
John the Baptist advises tax collectors to collect only what is required, emphasizing the importance of honesty and fairness.
His counsel calls for integrity in fulfilling responsibilities and avoiding greed.
As Christians, we are reminded to act justly in all areas of life, reflecting Christ through honesty and righteousness. By doing so, we uphold God's justice in the world.
