[48] but Jesus asked him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
This passage poignantly captures the depth of Judas' betrayal. A kiss, typically a sign of affection and friendship, was used by Judas to betray Jesus.
Outwardly, Judas appeared to be a devoted disciple, but inwardly, his heart was far from Jesus — an act of hypocrisy.
As followers of Christ, we must strive for authenticity in our faith. We must ensure that our loyalty remains steadfastly anchored in Christ, regardless of the temptations or challenges we face.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the lessons from the life of Judas. Help us to guard against hypocrisy and remain authentic in our faith, in Jesus' name. Amen.
