Theme for the Week: THE TRANSFORMED PERSON BUILDS UP THE WEAK IN FAITH
Reading: Matthew 26:36-41
Matthew 26:41 (NIV)
"Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak."
At a point in time, the most perfect man, Jesus Christ, became so weak that He had to pray; "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as You will" (verse 39).
This means that it does not matter how matured you are in the faith, weakness may fall on you. This human body is bound to this earth and subject to weakness, thus when you confront it with things spiritual, it wearies it down and makes it weak.
Beloved friend, keep in mind that everyone may be weak at a point in time, no matter your level of maturity. Therefore, watch and pray that weakness will not overtake you.
Stay blessed.
Let's Pray:
Heavenly Father, how awesome and wonderful You are! Dear Lord, may we not faint in our times of weakness, in Jesus' name. Amen.
