[8] Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Christ's love is unfailing, steadfast, rejoices in truth, and endures all things, never giving up even in difficult times, a love we are called to imitate as Christians.

True love, rooted in God, never fails and is a powerful testimony to His enduring love.

Beloved friend, let us commit to loving with the same steadfastness that Christ loves us, knowing that this love will never fail.

Love Is Not Self-seeking

[5] It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

We are called to imitate Christ's love, which is not self-seeking a maturing disciples.

Paul describes love as patient, kind, and selfless, never insisting on its own way.

This Christ-like love challenges us to put others' needs before our own and to serve with humility.

By embodying this selfless love, we grow in our discipleship and reflect the heart of Christ to the world.

Love gives purpose and value to everything we do as disciples of Christ.

As we mature in our faith, we must ensure that all our actions are motivated by genuine love, reflecting Christ’s heart.

By following this command, we grow in maturity and become true reflections of His love to the world.

Love God, Love Your Neighbor

Reading: 1 John 4:19-21

‭1 John 4:21 NIV‬
[21] And he has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister.

As maturing disciples, our love for God must be reflected in how we love our neighbors. Claiming to love God while failing to love others is inconsistent with true discipleship.

God's love for us should overflow into our relationships, prompting us to extend grace and compassion to everyone.

Loving our neighbors is the evidence of our genuine love for God. Let us show our love for God by loving our neighbors, even those difficult to love.

‭1 John 4:16 NIV‬
[16] And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

As maturing disciples, we are called to live in God’s love, reflecting His nature in all we do. To live in love is to live in God, and this love casts out fear, empowering us to live boldly for Christ.

Abiding in God's love transforms our hearts, making us more like Jesus and enabling us to love others selflessly.

As we grow in love, we become witnesses of God's grace to the world. Let us make it our goal, then, to abide in this love daily.
