1 Peter 2:9 NIV
[9] But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
Peter's words echo down through the ages. It affirms our identity and purpose as followers of Christ. We are not merely wanderers in this world; we are chosen by God, set apart for His divine purposes.
As chosen people, we are called to live lives that reflect the light of Christ. We are called to be a holy nation, a people belonging to God, displaying His goodness and mercy to the world around us.
Let us, therefore, embrace our identity as chosen ones with humility and gratitude. And may we continually give thanks for the privilege of being chosen by Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.

Heavenly Father, we praise You. Lord, thank You for calling us Your own, in Jesus' name. Amen.
