Walk By The Spirit

Theme for the Week: THE TWO FORCES AT WORK IN THE BELIEVER'S LIFE

Reading: Galatians 5:16-18
_______________________

Galatians 5:16 (NIV)
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

To walk by the Spirit means to live in dependence on the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to shape our thoughts, desires, and actions. It is a conscious decision to surrender our own will and to follow the promptings and convictions of the Spirit.

When we walk by the Spirit, we experience freedom. The Spirit empowers us to overcome the desires of the flesh that lead to destruction and separation from God. In Him, we find the strength and wisdom to navigate life's challenges and to live according to God's will.

Walking by the Spirit is not a one-time event but a daily practice. It requires constant attentiveness to the voice of the Spirit, a willingness to submit our plans and desires to Him. As we yield to the Spirit's guidance, we are transformed from within, reflecting the character of Christ to the world.

As we walk by the Spirit, we are no longer slaves to the desires of the flesh. We are liberated to live according to God's purposes, to love others sacrificially, and to bear witness to the power of the Spirit within us.
Shalom.

Let's Pray:
Abba Father, we thank You. Lord, help us to cultivate a sensitivity to the leadings of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' name. Amen.
