Theme for the Week: FREE FROM THE LAW
Reading: Philippians 3:8-11

Philippians 3:9 (NIV)
and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.
The Apostle Paul shares his personal testimony of how he once sought righteousness through his own accomplishments, but now realizes that true righteousness comes through faith in Jesus Christ. He counts all his previous achievements as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ.
As believers, we can learn from Paul's example and recognize that our good deeds or moral character are not enough to earn salvation or righteousness before God. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross can we be made righteous and have a right relationship with God.
Let us strive to deepen our faith in Jesus Christ and continually seek Him above all else, knowing that He alone can provide us with true righteousness and everlasting life.
