Theme for the Week: NO ONE IS RIGHTEOUS
Reading: Romans 2:1-16

Romans 2:3 (NIV)
So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?
In the previous weeks, we studied humankind's rejection of the knowledge of God and its consequences. This week, we shall know that everyone was once a victim of sin.
It is very easy to be judgemental when you see people engage in fornication, idolatry and stealing. However, many are silent on the issue of gossip and lies.
In today's passage, Apostle Paul is remembering us of Jesus' words in Matthew 7:1-5. We cannot raise judgement on people, because we have come to know the truth since we were once like them. Moreover, it is not enough to know the truth if we obey not the truth.
If you cannot apply the truth to yourself, why do you want to force them on others? Therefore, let us hold on to the words of Jesus in Matthew 7:5 which says; _"You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye;"_ for no one is righteous. Selah.
Let's Pray:
Most Gracious Father, we thank You. LORD God, help us to apply the truth in our lives, knowing that Your judgement is in accordance with the truth only. Amen.
